Question 8 (Page 138) A laboratory thermometer is not used to measure our body temperature. Give a reason. kink Clinical Thermometer In this thermometer, there is a kink (constriction) which prevents the mercury from falling down after the thermometer is removed from the body . This helps in taking accurate reading . Laboratory Thermometer In this thermometer, there is no kink . So, mercury falls back immediately as soon as thermometer removed from the mouth.
