Question 7 (Page 138) Observe the part of thermometer shown in Fig. 7.8 and answer the following questions: (iii) What is the smallest value that this thermometer can measure?Look at the markings: The gap between two large numbered marks (e.g., 20 to 30) = 10°C Inside this gap, there are 10 small divisions So each small division = (10^∘ 𝐶)/10=1^∘ 𝐶 The smallest value that this thermometer can measure = 1°C.
