How to make a Magic Square? Let’s make a magic square from numbers 1-9 Our rules are Middle position is 5 Four corner positions must be filled by even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8) Four middle positions must be filled by odd numbers (1, 3, 7, 9) Now, At the center is number 5 Let 9 be above 5 Since middle column sum has to be 15 So, 9 + 5 + 1 = 15. Thus, 1 is below 5 Now, let’s put odd numbers 3 & 7 on remaining middle positions Let top left number be 2 Sum of top row = 15 So, 2 + 9 + 4 = 15 . Thus, 4 is top right corner Sum of left column = 15. So, 2 + 7 + 6 = 15 . Thus, 6 is bottom left corner Remaning number is 8 Thus, our magic square looks like
