Example 2 - Page 131 Find the distance travelled by Usha if she takes three rounds of a square park of side 75 m.Distance travelled by Usha = Distance covered in 3 rounds = 3 × Distance covered in 1 round = 3 × Perimeter of Square Given that side of square is 75m Perimeter of square = 4 × Side of square = 4 × 75 = 300 m Now, Distance travelled by Usha = 3 × Perimeter of Square = 3 × 300 = 900 m ∴ Usha covers 900 m of distance.
