Can we never say 'vada' in idli-vada game?Which of the following could be the other number: 2, 3, 5, 8, 10? It could be 2 Since then we would have Saying ‘Idli’ is multiple of 2 i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, …. Saying ‘vada’ is multiple of 4 i.e. 4, 8, 12, 16, …. Saying ‘idli-vada’ is also multiple of 4 i.e. 4, 8, 12, 16, …. Thus, we never end up saying ‘vada’, instead we say ‘idli-vada’ Why does this happen? This happens because 4 is in the table of 2, i.e. 4 is a multiple of 2 Thus, if we have two numbers where one number is multiple of the other, then we never say ‘vada’ Example: 3 and 6 8 and 24 5 and 15
