  • Pastoral nomads are those groups who earn their livelihood by subsistence farming and cattle rearing.

Features:

  1. In many parts of India nomadic pastoralists move with their herd of sheep and goats , or camels and cattle .
  2. They moved annually between their summer and winter grazing grounds .
  3. They earn through selling milk , meat , animal skin and wool .
  4. Some also earn through trade and transport.
  5. Others have to combine pastoral activities with agriculture .
