Extract:

My first day at school was a memorable event in my life. I had no idea what school would be like, but I was excited about the prospect of learning. My father was a man who believed in education, and he wanted me to be educated as well. He sent me to a local school, where I would learn to read and write.

I remember walking to school with my cousin, who was also starting school that day. We were both filled with anticipation and curiosity. When we arrived at the school, we were greeted by the teachers, who welcomed us warmly. They showed us to our classroom, and we took our seats.

The first thing that struck me about the classroom was the blackboard at the front of the room. I had never seen anything like it before. The teacher explained that this was where she would write the lessons for the day. I was fascinated by the blackboard and the chalk that the teacher used to write on it.

As the days went on, I began to learn the basics of reading and writing. I was eager to learn and quickly picked up on the lessons. I was proud of my progress and wanted to share my newfound knowledge with my family and friends
