How do plants and animals help each other in the exchange of gases in the atmosphere?

Answer:

  • The animals take in oxygen during the process of respiration and give out carbon dioxide.
  • Carbon dioxide is required by the plants to prepare their own food by the process of photosynthesis.
  • During photosynthesis, plants release oxygen which is used by animals.
  • In this way, both plants and animals exchange gases and hence are interdependent on each other.
