Ex 2.2, 4 Which is greater: (ii) 1/2 of 6/7 or 2/3 of 3/71/2 of 6/7 = 1/2 × 6/7 = (1 × 6)/(2 × 7) = 𝟑/𝟕 2/7 of 3/7 = 2/7 × 3/7 = (2 × 3)/(3 × 7) = 𝟐/𝟕 Now, We have to find greater of 3/7 & 2/7 Since denominator is same, Number with greater numerator is greater 3/7 > 2/7 ∴ 1/2 of 6/7 > 2/3 of 3/7 Thus, 𝟏/𝟐 of 𝟔/𝟕 is greater.
