Ex 2.1, 6 Multiply and express as a mixed fraction : (b) 5 x 6 3/4 5 × 6 3/4 = 5 × (6+3/4) = 5 × ((6 × 4 + 3)/4) = 5 × ((24 + 3)/4) = 5 × 𝟐𝟕/𝟒 = (5 × 27)/4 = 135/4 Converting to mixed fraction = 33 𝟑/𝟒
