Difference between Live and Stay

Sometimes,we meet someone who has come form some other city

In,this case,We do not use,Where do you live

We use 'Where do you stay?'

Example

Are you from Mumbai ?

आर यू फ्रॉम मुम्बई ? (क्या तुम मुम्बई से हो ?)

Yes,I was born and brought up in Mumbai

येस, आई वाज बोर्न एंड ब्रॉट अप इन मुम्बई (हाँ, मेरा जन्म मुंबई में हुआ हैं। )

Oh great

ओह ग्रेट (बहुत बढ़िया। )

What about you

व्हट अबाउट यू (और तुम ?)

I am from Chennai. I have come here for a meeting

आई एम फ्रॉम चेनई। आई हेव कम हेअर फॉर ए मीटिंग (मैं चेन्नई से हूँ। यहाँ मीटिंग के लिए आया हूँ। )

Where are you staying

वेयर आर यू स्टेइंग (तुम कहाँ रुके हो ?)

I am staying at Hotel Taj

आई एम स्टेइंग एट होटल ताज (मैं ताज होटल में हुआ हूँ।)

Main Bihar se hu.Main Delhi main kiraye ke kamre main thehra hu

I am from Bihar. I am staying in a rented house.

Main Delhi main hi paida hua aur badha hua

I was born and brought up in Delhi

Main apne mata pita ke sath rehta hu

I live with my parents

Main apne mata pita ke ghar main rehta hu

I live in my Parent's house
