Question 8 Half of a herd of deer are grazing in the field and three fourths of the remaining are playing nearby. The rest 9 are drinking water from the pond. Find the number of deer in the herd.Let the number of deers in the herd be ๐ฅ Half of the herd grazing in field = ๐ฅ/2 Remaining = ๐ฅโ๐ฅ/2=๐ฅ/2 Of the remaining ๐/๐ 3^๐กโ/4 of remaining half are playing = Remaining deers drinking water = ๐ฅ/2โ3๐ฅ/8 Given, Remaining deers drinking water = 9 ๐ฅ/8=9 ๐ฅ = 8 ร 9 ๐ฅ = 72 โด Total number of deers in herd = 72
