Ex 6.2,3 In figure, if LM || CB and LN || CD, prove that ๐ด๐‘€/๐ด๐ต = ๐ด๐‘/๐ด๐ท Given: LM II CB And LN II CD To prove: ๐ด๐‘€/๐ด๐ต = ๐ด๐‘/๐ด๐ท Proof: From (1) & (2) ๐ด๐‘€/๐‘€๐ต = ๐ด๐‘/๐‘๐ท ๐‘€๐ต/๐ด๐‘€ = ๐‘๐ท/๐ด๐‘ Adding 1 on both sides ๐‘€๐ต/๐ด๐‘€ + 1 = ๐‘๐ท/๐ด๐‘ + 1 (๐‘€๐ต + ๐ด๐‘€)/๐ด๐‘€ =(๐‘๐ท + ๐ด๐‘)/๐ด๐‘ ๐ด๐ต/๐ด๐‘€ =๐ด๐ท/๐ด๐‘ ๐ด๐‘€/๐ด๐ต=๐ด๐‘/๐ด๐ท Hence proved
