Divide the class into these eight roles and act out one school election for the posts of Head Girl, Head Boy and Sports Captain.

| Campaigner | Canvasses for a candidate, within the code of conduct |
| Polling Officer | Checks each voter's name, marks the finger, and issues the ballot |
| Police Personnel | Keeps order at the booth and stops any intimidation |
| Journalist | Reports the campaign and the result, and questions the candidates |
A simple order for the activity
- Announce the schedule and the code of conduct for the school.
- Invite nominations and allot a symbol to each candidate.
- Hold a short campaign, with a debate between the candidates.
- Stop all campaigning one day before the poll.
- Hold the poll, with polling agents watching.
- Count the votes openly, and let the Returning Officer declare the result.
- Have the journalist report what happened, and what could be improved.
