Work
Done when a force displaces an object in the direction of the force; measured in joules.
Energy
The capacity to do work; it changes form but the total is conserved.
Simple Machines
Everyday devices with no complicated parts — a pulley, a ramp, a lever. They change the size or direction of the force we apply, making work easier (never less).
