Explanation

  • A star cannot be seen through the Moon, as the Moon is solid and opaque.
  • So showing a star inside the Moon's outline is incorrect.
  • The unlit part of the Moon is still there, just not bright.
  • Showing only a crescent with the rest fully black ignores the whole round Moon.
Showing a star within the Moon and treating the dark part as empty sky are the two errors.
