Answer:
We have studied that insulators do not allow electric current to pass through them. This is why lamp will not glow with insulator materials.

  • Plastic, rubber, wood are insulator materials
  • Current cannot flow through insulator substances
  • Circuit becomes incomplete with insulator connection
  • Metals would allow current to flow
