Question 4 (Page 179) State with reason(s) whether the following statements are True [T] or False [F]. Also, correct the False statement(s). (v) Sieving is used to separate a mixture of rice flour and water. False (F) Correction: Sedimentation and Decantation/ Filtration is used to separate a mixture of rice flour and water. Reason: Rice flour is heavier than water So it settles at bottom (This is Sedimentation) Water can be removed through decantation Alternatively, we can use filtration to drain out water and get rice flour
