Question 1 - Page 143 Solve this cryptarithm: Here, Adding two 2-digit numbers K2 gives 3 digit number So, we start from biggest number For K = 9 92 + 92 = 184 But, 184 ≠ HMM as last 2 digits are not same ∴ This is not possible For K = 8 82 + 82 = 164 But, 164 ≠ HMM as last 2 digits are not same ∴ This is not possible For K = 7 72 + 72 = 144 Now, 144 = HMM Thus, K = 7, H = 1, M = 4
