Question 2 - Page 137 What is the expression obtained by adding the 3 terms of any row, column or diagonal? Our generalised magic square is Adding any 3 terms of any row, column or diagonal will give us 3m For example Sum in the middle row: Generalised Magic Square (m + 2) + m + (m – 2) = 3m For the magic square with center 25, the magic sum is 3 × 25 = 75
