Filling grid – Question 2 Page 133 Fill this 3 × 3 grid Let us name the remaining numbers Sum of 2nd row 4 + d + g = 15 d + g = 15 – 4 d + g = 11 Since sum of 3rd column is greater Let g be bigger than d ∴ d = 5, g = 6 Sum of 3rd row b + e + 3 = 6 b + e = 6 – 3 b + 3 = 3 Since sum of 2nd column is greater Let e be bigger than b ∴ b = 1 , e = 2 Sum of 1st column a + 4 + 1 = 12 a + 5 = 12 a = 12 – 5 a = 7 Sum of 2nd column c + 5 + 2 = 16 c + 7 = 16 c = 16 – 7 c = 9 Sum of 3rd column f + 6 + 3 = 17 f + 9 = 17 f = 17 – 9 f = 8 Thus, our final grid is
