Question 1 Give the dimensions of a rectangle whose area is the sum of the areas of these two rectangles having measurements: 5 m × 10 m and 2 m × 7 m.Now, Area of blue rectangle = 5 × 10 = 50 m2 Area of red rectangle = 2 × 7 = 14 m2 Thus, Area of required rectangle = 50 + 14 = 64 m2 We need to find it’s dimensions of this rectangle. Thus, we need to find two numbers whose multiplication is 64 It could be 1 × 64, 2 × 32, 4 × 16, 8 × 8 (Square) Or 64 × 1, 32 × 2, 16 × 4,
