Question 1 (e) - Figure it out Page 144 Find the areas of the figures below by dividing them into rectangles and triangles.Our goal is to convert the shape into rectangle, squares and triangles. And, then find area Here, we converted our shape into 2 different shapes Blue Triangle Height = h = 2 Base = b = 4 Area = 1/2 × b × h = 1/2 × 2 × 4 = 4 sq. unit Red Triangle Height = h = 4 Base = b = 4 Area = 1/2 × b × h = 1/2 × 4 × 4 = 8 sq. unit Therefore, Area of figure = 4 + 8 = 12 square unit
