Question 5 What is the area of Shape A as compared to Shape G? Is it twice as big? Four times as big? To find which shape has more area, We try to make Shape A in terms of Shape C Let’s try to overlap G on A Thus, Shape A is made of four Shape C So, we can write Area of Shape A = 4 × Area of Shape C And, Area of Shape G = 2 × Area of Shape C Therefore Area of Shape A = 2 × Area of Shape G Thus, Area of Shape A is twice as that of Shape G
