Question 3 Which shape has more area: Shape D or F? Give reasons for your answer.To find which shape has more area, we overlap both shapes by aligning one side Here, we cannot say for sure which one has larger area But, we know that Area of D = 2 × Area of C Thus, let’s try to overlap Shape F with Shapes C and E Joining C & E to form a triangle Thus, Area of Shape F is equal to Area of Shape C + Area of Shape E Which is also Area of Shape D And, we can write Area of Shape D = Area of Shape F = 2 × Area of Shape C Therefore, Area of Shape F = Area of Shape D
