Question 4 (b) By splitting the following figures into rectangles, find their areas (all measures are given in metres).Our goal is to convert the shape into rectangle and squares. And, then find area Here, we converted our shape into 3 different rectangles and squares Now, we find length, breadth of our rectangles, and side of our square Red Rectangle Length = l = 3 Breadth = b = 1 Area = l × b = 3 × 1 = 3 m2 Green Rectangle Length = l = 1 Breadth = b = 3 Area = l × b = 1 × 3 = 3 m2 Bue Rectangle Length = l = 1 Breadth = b = 3 Area = l × b = 1 × 3 = 3 m2 Area of figure = 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 m2
