Question 8 In the following pattern, fill in the missing numbers: 12 + 22 + 22 = 32 22 + 32 + 62 = 72 32 + 42 + 122 = 132 42 + 52 + 202 = (___)2 92 + 102 + (___)2 = (___)2 Answer: Third number = 1st Number × 2nd Number Fourth number = 3rd Number + 1 42 + 52 + 202 = (___)2 Now, Fourth number = 3rd Number + 1 = 20 + 1 = 21 So, our statement is 42 + 52 + 202 = (21)2 92 + 102 + (___)2 = (___)2 Now, 3rd number = 1st number × 2nd number 3rd number = 9 × 10 3rd number = 90 And, Fourth number = 3rd Number + 1 = 90 + 1 = 91 So, our statement is 92 + 102 + (90)2 = (91)2
