Finding Square root using Prime Factorisation Let’s find square root of 36 using Prime factorization Doing prime factorization of 36 Thus, 36 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 = 22 × 32 = (2 × 3)2 = 62 Since 36 = 62 ∴ Square root of 36 = 6Square root of 49 Thus, 49 = 7 × 7 = 72 ∴ Square root of 49 = 7 Square root of 324 Thus, 324 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 22 × 32 × 32 = (2 × 3 × 3)2 = 182 ∴ Square root of 324 = 18
