Construction of a line parallel to a given line, through a point not on the line This is a question in our book We need draw a line parallel to line l, which passes through point A Let’s do this using ruler and set-square We follow these steps Step 1 We put one edge of set-squre on the line And move it until its other edge touches point A Step 2 We mark the line along the other edge passing through point A Let it be the blue line Step 3 Now, we put our ruler along the created blue line And move our set square so that its corner is at point A Step 4 We mark line along the edge of the set-square passing through point A.
