Question 3 - Page 122 The first number has prime factorisation 2 × 3 × 7 and the second number has prime factorisation 3 × 7 × 11. Are they co-prime? Does one of them divide the other?First number = 2 × 3 × 7 Second number = 3 × 7 × 11 So, both numbers have 3 and 7 as common-prime factors Since they have a common prime factor, numbers are not co-prime Checking divisiblity No, neither number divides the other. For one to divide the other, its entire prime factorisation would have to be contained within the other's. The first number is missing the factor 11, and the second number is missing the factor 2.
