Question 4 Find out the number of acute angles in each of the figures below. What will be the next figure and how many acute angles will it have? Do you notice any pattern in the numbers?Let’s draw angles in each of them 3 acute angles in 1 triangle 12 acute angles in 4 triangles Given are figures with equilateral triangle, And each equilateral triangle has 3 acute angles First Figure (Stage 1) A single equilateral triangle Each triangle has 3 acute angles ∴ Total acute angles = 3 Second Figure (Stage 2) The triangle is divided into 4 smaller equilateral triangles Each of those 4 triangles has 3 acute angles ∴ Total acute angles = 4 × 3 = 12 Third Figure (Stage 3) Each triangle from stage 2 is subdivided again into 4 triangles Now we have 16 small triangles Each of the 16 triangles has 3 acute angles ✅ Total acute angles = 16 × 3 = 48
