Passing through a slit (Activity - Page 25, 26)Cut an angle-shaped slit on a piece of cardboard (a fixed opening like ∠XOY). Then: Try inserting different rotating arms through the slit without changing the angle. Only the rotating arm that matches the slit angle will fit. What This Proves: It’s not the length of the arms that matters. It’s the amount of rotation (i.e., the angle) that determines whether it passes through. This helps correct the common misconception: “Longer rays = bigger angle” (which is wrong).
