Question 3 (Figure it out, Page 7) If you notice, the expressions for the least button clicks also give the Indian place value notation of the numbers. Think about why this is so. In the Indian system, we read numbers using place value: Example: 5,072 = 5 thousand, 72 8,300 = 8 thousand, 3 hundred Why this matches: ✅ Systematic Sippy always chooses the biggest possible unit first, just like we break numbers using place values. ✅ The final expressions end up being exactly how we read numbers in Indian place value format.
