Write any two difference between twisted paircable and coaxial cable.

Answer:

TWISTED PAIR CABLE vs COAXIAL CABLE - Teachoo.jpg

Twisted Pair Cable

Co-axial Cable

  • In this cable, wires are twisted together , which are surrounded by an insulating medium and an outer layer.
  • It has a copper wire at the core of the cable which is surrounded by an insulating material, which is further surrounded by an outer conductor. This outer conductor is wrapped in a plastic cover.
  • Low bandwidth
  • Higher bandwidth than Twisted pair cables.

Additional Points:

Twisted Pair Cable

Co-axial Cable

  • Very Inexpensive
  • It is expensive compared to twisted pair cable.
  • Attenuation is very high
  • Attenuation is low.
