    Using the method mentioned here,

    We first make denominators equal

    -5/2 = -5/2 x 2/2 = -10/2

    -11/4

     

    So, we need to find a rational number between -10/4 and -11/4. 

    Since we need to find 1 rational number, we multiply and divide both numbers by 2

    -10/4 = -10/4 x 2/2 = -20/8

    -11/4 = -11/4 x 2/2 = -22/8

     

    So, rational number between them is -21/8
