    Hi Nikita

    In the question,

We have to find Ratio of 18th term

    Now,

    18th term of 1st AP = a + (n - 1)d = a + (18 - 1)d = a + 17d

    and

    18th term of 2nd AP = A + (n - 1)D = A + (18 - 1)d = A + 17D

So, we need to find the ratio

    a + 17d / A + 17D

    Since in equation (1), we have a + (n-1)/2 d,

    we put n-1/2 = 17

    Is it clear now?
