    An= a+ (n-1) d 
    So keeping the values and finding n
    50= 5+(n-1)3
    50-5=(n-1)3
    45=(n-1)3
    45/3=n-1
    15=n-1 
    15+1=n
    Hence n=16
    Further sn formula is:
    Sn=n/2[2a+(n-1)d)]
    Putting the values 
    Sn= 16/2[2(5)+(16-1)3]
        =  8 [10+15(3)]
        =  8 [10+45]
        =  8 [55]
    Sn=440
    Hence solved
