How to put password in Excel File

To password protect an excel file

 

Step 1 - Click file

 

Step 2 - Click Save as

 

Step 3 - Select current folder

 

Step 4 - Click tools

 

Step 5 - Click general option

 

Step 6 - Enter Password to read and password to modify

 

Step 7 - Click OK

 

Step 8 - Click Save

 

Step 9 - Close the file

 

Step 10 - Reopen the file

 

Step 11 - File wants Password

 

 

Note : If password to read and modify is same, he can open a read-only file and save it via Save-As.
