Ex 13.1, 2 Consider the following distribution of daily wages of 50 workers of a factory. Find the mean daily wages of the workers of the factory by using an appropriate method. Mean(๐ฅ ฬ ) = a + h ร (โโ๐๐๐๐)/(โโ๐๐) Where a = Assumed Mean h = Class interval Also, โโ๐๐ = 50 โโ๐๐๐๐ = โ12 Putting values in formula Mean(๐ ฬ ) = a + h ร (โโ๐๐๐๐)/(โโ๐๐) ๐ฅ ฬ = 550 + 20 ร (โ12)/50 ๐ฅ ฬ = 550 โ 4.8 ๐ ฬ = 545.2 Therefore, mean average wage is Rs 545.2
