It is done because Metal has some property which the other Metal lacks

 

Uses of Electroplating

Some uses of electroplating are

  • To prevent from Corrosion : We usually do tin coating to steel cans to prevent corrosion
  • Making items attractive : Instead of making items with pure gold or silver, we electroplate less expensive metals with gold and silver to make it appear attractive
