Question 5 (Page 250) Which is the brighter star, the Pole Star or Sirius?Sirius is brighter. Sirius is the brightest star in the entire night sky. The Pole Star is described as 'not very bright'. You need a moonless, cloudless night to spot the Pole Star. The Pole Star is important not for its brightness, but because it always points North.
