What are Resources? Anything which is useful and has value is called Resource They may be provided by Nature Or Humans Natural Resources Man - Made Resources Difference between:- Natural Resources Human - Made Resources Resources provided by nature are called natural resources. Example - We get heat and light from the Sun, water from rivers, food from plants and animals, etc. Resources created by humans are called human - made resources. Example - Electric bulbs, furniture, solar panels, bicycles, etc. Activity 11.6 Make a list of activities you do in your daily life and write down the natural resources used directly or indirectly for each activity. In Table 11.4, some items are already filled in. Example - Minerals, soil, rocks, coal, petroleum and natural gas. Fossil Fuels do not get replenished within a reasonable period of time. So, fossil fuels are non - renewable resources. Therefore, we must conserve our natural resources and use them responsibly without wasting them. This way, we can continue to fulfill our present needs while also saving for the future, without harming the environment.
