Question 4 (Page 204) You have learnt that a tail is present in a tadpole but it disappears as it grows into a frog. What is the advantage of having a tail in the tadpole stage?Tadpole with Tail The tail in the tadpole stage helps the tadpole to swim easily in water to find food and escape from enemies. As the frog grows and develops legs, it no longer needs the tail, so the tail disappears.
