Question 8 How many lines of symmetry do the shapes in the first shape sequence in Chapter 1, Table 3, the Regular Polygons, have? What number sequence do you get?The table looks like Regular Polygons – Lines of symmetry Now, Regular Triangle (Equilateral Triangle) – 3 lines of symmetry Regular Quadrilateral (Square) – 4 lines of symmetry Regular Pentagon – 5 lines of symmetry Regular Hexagon – 6 lines of symmetry Regular Heptagon – 7 lines of symmetry Regular Octagon – 8 lines of symmetry Regular Nonagon – 9 lines of symmetry Regular Decagon – 10 lines of symmetry The Number sequence we get is 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, …. It is a counting number sequence.
