Question 4 ( Page 31 and 32 ) Look at the image of a mountain goat and a goat found in the plains. Point out the similarities and differences between them. What are the reasons for these differences? They have long , thick fur coat to protect it from cold . White - colored coat helps it blend in with snow . Strong legs adapted for climbing steep and rocky surfaces . They have short fur as plains are warmer . Coat may be brown , black , or white for camouflage in plain areas . Legs are not as strong for climbing but suited for walking on flat land .
