What are Seeds of plants ?The Small part of a plant that can grow into a new plant is known as seed . Do Different Plants Have Same Types Of Seeds ?Some have seeds which have only 1 part . Some have seeds which split into 2 parts . Examples :- Grass , Rice , Wheat , Corn , Etc. Examples :- Chickpea , Apple , Soybean , Peanut , Etc. Cotyledon (part of seed is called Cotyledon) Mono Cotyledon Di Cotyledon One part of seed Two Plants having seeds with 2 parts or 2 cotyledon are called dicotyledon or dicots Plants having single part of seed are called monocotyledon or monocots Example :- Corn plant Example :- Chickpea plant , Peanut Plant Difference b/w Monocotyledons and Dicotyledons Monocotyledons Dicotyledons Plants that have seeds with one cotyledon is called Monocotyledon.
