Science: A way of thinking, observing, and doing things to understand the world and uncover the secrets of the universe. Curiosity: The strong desire to know or learn something, which is the starting point of science. Scientific Method: A step-by-step process that helps us find answers to our questions through observation, guessing, and testing. Observation: The act of noticing or perceiving something interesting, which is the first step in the scientific method. Guess (Hypothesis): A possible answer to a question that can be tested through experiments. Experiment: An action or observation designed to test a guess (hypothesis). Scientist: A person who follows the scientific method to solve problems or discover new things. The chapter also says that anyone who tries to find answers to questions is, in a way, a scientist.
