If you have to ask “Why?” about something, what would you ask about? Try to write down how you would attempt to find an answer to your question. My "Why" Question: Why do some of my houseplants grow tall and healthy, while one particular plant in the corner looks weak and has yellow leaves? How I Would Find an Answer: Observe: I will closely look at the weak plant and compare it to the healthy ones. I will check the soil, the leaves, and its location. Ask a Question: Why is this one plant not healthy? Guess/Hypothesis 1: Maybe it is not getting enough sunlight in that corner. Test 1: I will move the plant to a spot where it gets more sunlight, next to the healthy plants, for one week. I will water it the same as the others. Analyse: After a week, I will check if the leaves look greener and healthier. If they do, my guess was probably right. Guess/Hypothesis 2: If it doesn't get better, my next guess would be that maybe it needs a different amount of water than the other plants. Test 2: I would research online what kind of plant it is and how much water it needs. Then I will adjust the watering schedule accordingly and observe for another week.
