Question 4 Given (π΄π΅) Μ of length 3.9 cm, construct (ππ) Μ such that the length of (ππ) Μ is twice that of (π΄π΅) Μ . Verify by measurement. (Hint : Construct (ππ) Μ such that length of (ππ) Μ = length of(π΄π΅) Μ ; then cut off (ππ) Μ also has the length of (π΄π΅) Μ .) We are given (π΄π΅) Μ of length 3.9 cm We need to draw (ππ) Μ = 2 Γ (π΄π΅) Μ Letβs follow these steps 1. Draw a line l mark point P on it 2. Measure (π΄π΅) Μ = 3.9 cm using compass 3. Now keeping compass opened the same length. We keep pointed end at point P, and draw an arc on line l So, (ππ) Μ = 3.9 cm. 4. Now keeping compass opened the same length. We keep pointed end at point X, and draw an arc on line l So, (ππ) Μ = 3.9 cm. And (ππ) Μ = 7.8 cm Thus, (ππ) Μ is twice that of (π΄π΅) Μ
