Polynomial Function

Function where f is a polynomial is a polynomial function

It is of the form

f: R → R

f(x)  = a ₀ + a ₁ x + a ₂ x ² +  …… + a _n x ⁿ ,

where n is a non-negative integer (i.e. n is 0, 1, 2, 3, ….)

and a ₀ , a ₁ , a ₂ , a ₃ …. a _n ∈ R , i.e. a ₀ , a ₁ , a ₂ , a ₃ …. a _n  are all real  numbers

Example

f(x) = x ³ – 3x ² + 4x + 2

f(x) = x ¹⁹ – 81
